- Horses on Display: Foals and their mothers will be hauled into Dunlap Livestock Auction on Friday evening and available for early preview at 6:30 PM. They will be available for official preview on Saturday morning at 8 AM.

Terms & Conditions: Terms of the sale are cash or personal check in U.S. Funds or Credit Card...Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express (2.5% user fee added to credit card purchases). Every animal sells to the highest bidder. Announced changes in catalog information on sale day take precedence over printed material. Payment is due date of sale.
All horses are buyers property as soon as sold. No delivery is available until final settlement is made on all purchases. Buyers must make arrangements for car of horses at their own risk until delivery is made. All deliveries must be taken within 5 days of the sale unless prior arrangements are made. Any horses left beyond the agreed upon time period will be charged $10/day. Insurance will be required on all horses left for pick-up at Lapke's after the sale.
Due to the early sale date, the colts are cataloged prior to being completely shed-off. Colors of the colts will be cataloged to the best of the seller's ability. Buyer's are asked to inspect the foals at the sale to make their own determination as to color.
Any person attending this sale does so at their own risk. Neither Lapke Quarter Horses, Dunlap Livestock Auction, nor any other person connected to this sale assumes liability legal or otherwise.
- Guarantee: To the best of our knowledge, every horse in the sale is free of disease or defect. Known defects will be called at sale time. If a defect was not announced at the time of sale, the buyer shall have a veterinarian examine the horse and notify Lapke Quarter Horses within three days of the sale. Lapkes will appoint a veterinarian of their choice to determine the status of the horse's defect and if the defect was present at sale time. His decision will be final. If a defect did exist at sale time, sale of the horse is null and void upon delivery of the animal to Lapke Quater Horses in a timely manner.
Any animal described as a colt and does not have two testes descended to the scrotum must be announced.
Warranty with respect to descended testes does not apply to any horse sold prior to Jan. 1st of his yearling year
Broodmares in the sale were bred to the stallion indicated in catalog and are checked in foal prior to the sale. Warranty of pregnancy status is as stated above for defects…buyer has three days post sale to have their veterinarian pregnancy test mares and notify Lapke Quarter horses.
- Sales Tax: Please bring your Tax I.D. number or Iowa Sales Tax will be charged on the puchase of every lot(7% of the purchase price).
- Registration and Transfer: All 2011 foals sell on application. A complete AQHA registration paper and signed transfer will be mailed to buyers once all checks clear.
- Insurance: Every horse sold and left with Lapke Quarter Horses for any amount of time must be insured. Insurance will be available through Lapke Quarter Horses sale day.
