“Blue” is a May 2005
blue merle male. He is 12 and 1/2” and is from the very reputable Rim
Fire Kennel, (known for their blue-eyed tri producing crosses.) Our
hopes with purchasing Blue was to raise a smaller, yet correct, mini
aussie with a strong line of blue eyes. With our first litter we’ve
produced everything we’ve hoped for. Good quality minis with excellent
bone and a lot of color with hair coat and eyes. Look at Blue and
you’ll know why we couldn’t pass him up.

Gunner is a May 2005
black tri male with blue eyes. He is 12” and is from the very
reputable Rim Fire Kennel. He is a litter-mate to Blue and was
basically purchased for the same reasons. We needed a small black male
to cross on our blue merle females and, again, we wanted to have a
male with a strong genetic line for throwing blue eyes. We look
forward to our first litter by Gunner and out of Annie in February.

Mesa is a April of 2005 female. She is a very gentle dog who goes back
royally to the reputable Valhalla Kennel, Rafter Bottle Kennel and the Waggin
Tail Kennel bloodlines as a grand-daughter of all three. Mesa measures 17” at
her shoulder so she too is on the taller end of the minnies. Not only does she
have the appealing black-tri color but she also has the one crystal blue eye,
which is very rare. We can only hope she’ll produce puppies like herself.

Annie is a 14” February 2005 blue merle female. She has the
attractive tri-colored markings and a very cool amount of black. We
purchased Annie as a pup from Donna O’Neill’s very reputable Mini
Aussies also here in Iowa. A breeder known for quality minis. Annie
is very correct and intelligent and with her pretty color and one
blue eye she has proven to be a producer of high quality pups.

LQH PUPPY STATEMENT
Lapke Quarter Horses Miniature Australian Shepherds are Registered with
the National Stock Dog Registry and are not kennel raised. We raise highly
socialized pups that all play in the backyard with our girls. Our pups are
all vaccinated and wormed at 6 weeks of age under the care and examination
of a licensed veterinarian and they will have been eating dry puppy food
from the age of 3 weeks. All of our pups are very well conformed and do
not splay in their legs-they are very correct. If a pup does have a flaw
we will recommend that he/she be made a pet and never used for breeding.
This is the only way to insure that the breed stays sound. However, not
all pet recommended pups have physical or structural ailments. Only those
that are stated to be so. We will stand behind our puppies if under the
examination of a licensed veterinarian, within the first week after
you have made a purchase, you find the puppy irreversibly unhealthy or not
structurally sound and we have not yet informed you--you may return the
pup for a refund to be agreed upon at the time by both parties. Eyes and
hips need to be examined by a licensed veterinarian before the age of 2
years. If an abnormally with the eyes or hips is found after the age of two
years with no prior problem we will not stand by it and no refund or
arrangements will be made. Puppies will sell for asking price and buyer is responsible for the full
price of shipping if shipping is necessary. We do, however, welcome anyone to
our place to play with puppies and look at colts anytime.
